On Friday, October 9, our Tržnice restaurant in Smíchov will be filled with the aroma of seafood and transformed into a little piece of Sicily. That evening, our regular menu will be replaced by a special menu featuring various types of shrimp (including red “gambero rosso”) from fishermen in Mazara del Vallo, who will be coming to Prague to join us. You can look forward to shrimp carpaccio, tartare, pasta, risotto, shrimp pizza, and grilled shrimp. And since there are countless ways to prepare shrimp in Sicily, we certainly won’t stop there.
It will work exactly the same as during a regular visit to Tržnice—you’ll come in, take a seat, choose from the menu, and order individual dishes according to your taste. Only this time, everything will be centered around shrimp. Dario from the Sicilian winery Masseria del Feudo will be handling the wine; he’ll be pouring their wines and recommending which wines pair best with each shrimp dish.
