Another interesting addition to our range of natural wines is here.
Giulia Gonella and her husband David cultivate 4.5 hectares of vineyards in the Asti region, growing native varieties such as Arneis, Barbera, Bonarda, and Nebbiolo. Their production is very limited, with less than 10,000 bottles produced annually (some wines only 500 bottles)! The land on which the vines grow is located in places that were once the seabed millions of years ago. Today, the clay soil mixes with sand and tuff, giving the wines a different character. Giulia follows organic farming practices, does not use any artificial chemicals, and strives to give back to the soil and plants what they give us. She believes in spontaneous fermentation, long aging in wood and in the bottle, uses natural gravity for bottling, and adds only the absolute minimum and necessary amount of sulfites to her wines. Her wines are direct, distinctive, wild, and pure.
