Vie di Romans

Basilio. Stelio. Gianfranco. Members of the Gallo family have been making wine with rooster-like vigor for 100 years on the northern bank of the Isonzo River. Within sight of the Friulian mountains, where the Roman road once ran. The soil in their flat vineyards is iron-rich, and the white wines produced here—Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio—are distinctive and complex.
