Wine tastings at Vinotéka are back in August!

Our sommeliers Lucka and Vítek are not bored during the summer and are already busy preparing for the next batch of tastings they have planned for you.

As with previous tastings, you can look forward to fun, informal evenings in our cozy Vinotéka in Smíchov, during which they will guide you through the world of Italian wines and small family wineries and reveal lots of interesting facts about individual varieties, different approaches, and regional differences. During each tasting, you will sample five wines, and light refreshments are also included.

WHAT TASTINGS ARE AWAITING YOU?

26.8. Arneis, the naughty child of Piedmont

The first tasting takes us to Piedmont, where we will thoroughly explore the Arneis variety and find out why it is nicknamed the "naughty child." We will taste the basic version from the Bovone family of Cornarea winery, from Marziano Abbona and from the Pedemontis winery, as well as its sparkling version, and finally, in the form of a riserva, we will see what time does to Arneis.

3.9. Sauvignon five different ways

During this tasting, we will look under the cork of five Sauvignons and compare the winemaking styles of Ignaz Niedrist, Andrian, Terlan, the Gallo family from Vie Di Romans, and Andreas Huber from Pacherhof.

17.9. Chardonnay five different ways

During the third tasting, we will explore the Chardonnay variety in depth and see how winemakers from Valle d'Aosta, Alto Adige, and Piedmont work with it.

1.10. Piedmont wines from Elio Grasso

On the fourth evening, we will visit the vineyards and cellars of one of Piedmont's renowned winemakers: Elio Grasso. Together, we will taste most of his production, from Nebbiolo Langhe, through Dolcetto and Barbera, to Barolo.

Tastings always start at 5 p.m. at our Vinotéka in Smíchov, Strakonická 948/1 (entrance from the shop).

Don't forget to make a reservation in advance, as the number of places is limited.
